Since it's no secret that incels will throw wheelbarrows of money at devs, in order to see some cartoon boobies, a LOT of people have taken to putting out projects that they never intend to finish.
If they can capture a following on Patreon, they can stall the stupid with excuses while gathering as much money as they can before it all ends.
Sure, DAZ assets are expensive, and coding is tiresome work, but these things aren't really a surprise to an aspiring dev. DAZ is free to download, and they aren't shy about beating you over the head with offers to buy more and more shit. Any honest dev out there should be capable of researching these subjects.
On top of that, it seems like 90% of the (porn) games available for download for itch, have been abandoned. There's simply no way that this many people came with honest intentions, but were surprised by the cost/workload of developing a game.
Then again, their last update was in 2019. Maybe COVID got them, who can say.

I take it this project has been abandoned? That's a damned shame, it had so much potential.
